The Blue Martini
Written by Kijana Moultrie

If you haven’t yet heard about this swank, good vibration giving, live entertainment having, signature martini serving ultra lounge, then you’ve never experienced the indulgence of the upper level Millenia Mall hotspot, Blue Martini. Don’t be discouraged by its location or the highly prestigious automobiles that greet you right outside the entry way. This place is not only for the financially blessed, it’s a guaranteed good time for those in every tax bracket; however, do make sure you are dressed the part.

As a disclaimer, the no baggy jeans, athletic wear and sneakers idea should be an unspoken rule anyway. But that’s just my personal thoughts. Back to the review…

Walk thru the parking lot, and you can feel the music and energy resonating so much that one could easily pop open a bottle right outside and thus the makings of a block party would ensue. But get past the desire to start your own shindig, and you will reach the suit and tie doorman along with sounds from the outside patio which catch your attention, depicting a clear indicator of the fun to be had inside.

The dim lights, ambiance and of course the blue-ish hues make for a swagger-laden, almost mischievous environment. You can feel the room scoping, eminent eye-catching and place-to-be vibe all over the dance floor. There is a different theme for each night, Monday being the live entertainment, hospitality night complete with acoustic bands and an amazing DJ on the 1s and 2s. This is supposedly a slow night, but as I make my way through the packed crowd, I would beg to differ. The setting is quite comfortable with a good mix of people ranging in ages from 21 to lets say “seasoned”. The menu is moderate but sufficient and with good findings. Of course libations take up a good majority of the menu pages with a nice selection of wines, beers, and cocktails. Martini’s are obviously the house specialty with the mainstay being what else, the Blue Martini, and the Flatbreads are to die for. The service is good, with a big shout out to my new favorite server, Maribel.

This is definitely a happening spot any day of the week for good music, good drinks, and a great crowd. Check it out.

The best server in the world, MaribelLast night the DJ saved my life :)
